Rate plus assessment and Alexandrians are getting clobbered!
Talk about clobbered! Douglas and Sarpy counties in Nebraska run 2.14 to over 3 per $100. More like robbery. Try explaining these taxes to new comers! Yikes!
Taxes on a house in my neighborhood that is assessed at $142,682 are $3118. a year. (@2.174253)
Often our taxes cause home buyers to buy less house so they can afford the taxes. It is something we have to consider.
That is high, Donna, but the average home price in Alexandria is near a $mil I think...
